Sums it up completely.

There's something about a bear and a cat being the only sensible ones around.

Brilliant piece. I’ve followed Larry since the early days on Twitter, and this captures exactly why he’s endured — not just the wit, but the moral clarity, the timing, the restraint. In a sea of clout-chasers and spin, he’s been a steady voice of sanity. A cat with better instincts than most of Westminster.

Fantastic. Larry is the one true occupant of No 10 in many, many years who deserved a peerage or at least a knighthood. I'd be honoured to shake his paw. I have to say, I did feel very sorry for him when he had to share his home with some of the elected housemates and if he used the odd shoe as a toilet, I wouldn't blame him.

Charlie the Wonder Cat asked me to express his appreciation of your work. He sends respectful regards to Larry, but little more, because... well, cats.

Says something about the state we are in when a conversation between a cat and a bear is the most sensible thing I’ve read in ages! Enjoy your holiday Bear x

A lovely, intelligent piece, a cat and a bear talking so much sense

I get a sense that the all pervasive miasma in No. 10 is fear.

Of the public, the media and those of wealth and power upon which politicians rely for donations and other support.

That in itself is a function of the brutal reality of being a salaried functionary or politician who can lose their livelihood and status on a whim.

So the default position then become uncalled for secrecy, spin, lies and the formulation and implementation of bad policy.

(PS Larry deserves Tuna).
