The more Farage clings to his orange idol, the further he will fall in the eyes of Britain as the shitshow continues. Couldn't happen to a more deserving grifter ๐๐ป
I'm with you on this one Mike because I remember when the fucker I unfortunately have to share my first name with once stating that he was willing to don the khaki and stand on the beach with a rifle to defend it! A statement I found funny but NOT haha funny because the British military stopped wearing khaki before he, you & I were born & the only time he has worn a similar uniform to the ones we both wore he was a cadet in the CCF!
I'm a REME veteran & I was in the process of joining up in JANUARY 1982, as you'll note this was before the Flaklands started!
We have both served the colours of our respective Corps whereas he's ONLY ever served to make himself richer!
I joined Oct 81, did a 2 yr tour in NI and GW1, I was a postie by trade so a REMF like yourself. In Al Jubayl we got Scuded and the same in Hafer Al Batin. We went through Iraq on the second wave and set up office at Kuwait International Airport right next to the BA 747 that the allies fragged.
We were one of a few British units inside the city limits and shared the airport with movers, an Air Cavalry unit and the French Foreign Legion.
We weren't REMFs tho Mike because THEY never had to deploy! ๐
I never did any NI tours nor anything else for that matter but BOTH of my units would have been following the Fighting especially my first one which covered Norway, Greece & Turkey!
โwhen the question is whether to send young people to kill and die in a foreign warโ
Presumably Kemiโs kids are too young & does Fartage even have any? Members of 2 generations of my family have been unlucky enough to fight in the wars leaving scars, both mental and physical. No more ๐คฌ
Nutty Nige and and Kemi the kazi, both legends in their own minds. Neither have a bloody clue, neither have been on a front line, nor will they ever be, but sat in safety whilst they would see our young slaughtered. I'm sick of these so-called politicians that actually are clueless and if I see 4names Shapps, rabbiting on like Uncle Albert about when he was .... (name any of the positions he held, all of which he failed at,) giving out against the present government, whilst he and his kids all also sit in safety, I might have a stroke. Hypocrites, the lot of them.
Farage has also been going on about scrapping Net Zero. This war reminds us that we need to be as independent of Middle Eastern oil and gas as possible = which means pressing on with replacing it with home-produced energy. Of course Tory policy helped to convert a British lead in e.g. solar-panel making into a Chinese one.
I personally believe we should not have let the USA use our bases allowing USA bombers to bomb the fuck out of innocent civilians, with even more on the way with the massive capability of the B52 bombers recently landing at RAF Fairford. We have already seen the double tap bombing of the Iranian girls school killing young school children, and then the people trying to rescue the survivors, that recent evidence it seems, was that it was a American Tomahawk missile. The use of our bases may well come and bite us back in the arse, as what happened with the London bombings after the Iraq war?
I think yes we should act in defence in protecting UK citizens and the RAF base in Akrotiri, Cyprus which was hit with a drone, where there is conflicting evidence where that drone came from, possible ๐ฉ to draw us into the illegal war? Interestingly no further drone attacks on that base have happened to my knowledge ๐ค
As for the special relationship, that doesn't really exists whilst the orange shit gibbon and his sycophants are in charge, and that has shown in comments made by him. We can only hope normal service will be resumed when this administration is gone. ๐ค๐ผ
I have been a Labour voter all my life and have been extremely disappointed by this Government, but do feel Starmer has acted appropriately in this instance (apart from in my opinion the use of UK bases). He was dammed if he did and dammed if he didn't. As for Farage and Badenoch I'll leave that colourful language to post elsewhere.
A classic case of cognitive dissonance, Nige doesnโt want to upset Trump by having different ideas but he also wants to tell the British public what he thinks we want to hear. Itโs almost farcical. Every time I hear Kemi speak I have a mental picture of her as a rugby player trying to drag Keir to the ground. (Oh thats the first time I realised they both have four letter first names beginning with K).
My first thought this morning was - which wars has the US won? I couldnโt remember any. In 250 years theyโve learned nothing about real warfare. Big military, big armaments, big mouths. Perhaps itโs time for some big political brains who understand history matters. Farage/Badenoch should learn too.
Iโll concur with those, but point out they only arrived into WWII following Pearl Harbour and instigated those in Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Have they learned nothing?
They won their own war of independence (with help), the Pacific War, WWII in the West (again with help), a war of conquest against Mexico, lots of little wars in Central America...
Looks as though the one person that will profit from Trump's Iranian adventure is Putin, because the oil price serge might persuade people to lift sanctions on Russian oil.
They both love talking about how much they love veterans and wearing their poppy.
They have forgotten that armed service personnel are actually people, their voters children and simply want more amputees in their 20s to get photo ops with to look like they care about the armed forces and not just jingoism
As usual Bear, youโre absolutely spot on! And the more Farage and BadEnoch can be shown to be as ridiculous as they are, the better it will be in the long run for Britain. They must never be allowed to render this country subservient to the Orange Turd and the more instances like this can be exposed, the less danger of that happening will be.
Absolute embarrassment for Farage & co, and now Farage himself is saying the British military has nothing to offer to the US, so it's better not to get involved ourselves in a warโฆ what an absolute jokeโฆ
He said the military could not โoffer anything of valueโ to America or Israel. โI, as leader, am saying to you โ if we canโt even defend Cyprus, letโs not get ourselves involved in another foreign war.โ
Trying to throw the British military down the drain to help his narrative and make a U-turn.
Excellent summing up, Bear.
The more Farage clings to his orange idol, the further he will fall in the eyes of Britain as the shitshow continues. Couldn't happen to a more deserving grifter ๐๐ป
Any and all politicians calling for military intervention should step forward, don the baggy green skin, get their weapon and go fight.
This is not our circus, not our monkey.

Brilliant! The frog-faced shitweasel continues to live down to our expectations.

Itโs not that the political class havenโt learned - itโs the opposite - they HAVE learned.
Theyโre simply following orders.
Looks as though the one person that will profit from Trump's Iranian adventure is Putin, because the oil price serge might persuade people to lift sanctions on Russian oil.
Now isn't that odd?
Beautifully put Bear, im forwarding this to friends and family
