I'm trying out a new message for the cult members on social media - variations on the theme of

You're supporting an organised crime syndicate. That's not very patriotic.

Further questions can be answered with some or all of:

"they're cuckooing whole villages, marching around in masks & uniforms, attacking people who disagree with them, assaulting emergency services personnel & damaging their vehicles, claiming the right to break the law & not be punished for it, bullying individuals they disagree with and taking corrupt donations. Many of them also deal drugs & have long criminal records. What else do you call it?"

At the moment they don't seem to have an answer.

Can I insert a small plea? Please join me in pressing the BBC to re-broadcast their excellent radio series "The Code of the Woosters". That's the one where Roderick Spode gets a hard time for leading the BlackShorts. Every little helps, as they say.

Since my toes go down in height order this means archaeologically I’m an indigenous Celt, that’s how you tell the difference between Welsh and Anglo-Saxon burials. As a native born, may I suggest these so and sos F off back to Frisia

As in

Look at im, blond air & blue eyes? Stinks of cabbage?

Bloody Saxons, only bin yer a fasand yers & em think they own the place.

Cum yer in small boats, woodn learn the language, woodn eat the food, woodn join the religion & then stole evrything.

Dontya ate people what smell of cabbage?

Friend of mine used to use something like that when the National Front were protesting in Coventry, many years ago. The audience laughed. The NF ran away.

I would be very happy to see the Black Shorts proscribed as a terrorist group. Forcing the Portsmouth RNLI station to close thereby endangering lives by their actions surely qualifies them. There's something the inutterably foul Mahmood could do that would actually be useful rather than massively damaging to the country as every other damn thing she's doing is. While she's at it she could get serious about reforming the police forces - who have not exactly been covering themselves in glory lately - out of their institutional misogyny and racism.

But then again it does appear that she's very much a one trick pony, that trick being doing a credible imitation of Braverman.

Agree with everything you say here. Especially with how the government needs to stand up more against the so called "patriots". Surely there's a slogan their comms people can find - pains me to start thinking we need a slogan, but as those are all that seem to cut through now, I think it's what we need. Someone with a loud voice in government - perhaps our new media-friendly PM can just stand up and say "this is not who we are".

Hi Bear. An excellent piece (again!). It's greatly entertaining to watch the far-right attacking itself and like you I am munching the popcorn while watching on with pleasurable schadenfreude that makes me shiver in delight. On the other side though, Burnham continues the Blue Labour tradition of refusing to condemn the far right including, unbelievably, Thomas's fascists. This man (along with Tommy Ten Names is a serious danger to the UK exchequer - their antics must have cost us tens, possibly hundreds of millions in criminal damage and policing - this simply cannot be tolerated any longer. I shall run a book on how long it takes Burnham to grow some testicles.

That said, I knew from Burnham's first cabinet that Blue Labour was still in charge and nothing much would change when Shabana 'trying to out-reform reform' Mahmood (I wrote about her proposals live when she first mooted them https://tinyurl.com/df94bcr3) and Pat 'let me be nasty to benefits claimants especially the disabled' McFadden were left in their posts, Cooper was transferred to Health and Norris of all people was appointed Justice Sec.

Back to the fascists, it is time again to air Wodehouse's quote of quotes:

"The trouble with you Thomas is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the British scene by going about in balaclavas, black shorts and other fascist festoonery you think you're someone. You hear them shouting 'Heil Tommo' and you imagine it is the voice of the people. That is where you make your bloomer. What the voice of the people is saying is, 'Look at that total tit Thomas swanking around in such ghastly garb! Did you ever in your puff see such a perfect perisher?"

Adieu!!

An accurate synopsis of current events and I concur with you on every count. Rest your weary calves and avoid making eye contact with the fur daemon or she might take revenge for neglecting her alarm call duties this morning! 😼

Agree with comments on our current Home Sec, and am somewhat angry about the Govt’s disinclination/malaise? to crack down on these followers of Tommo’s & Robo’s.

We’ve had recent r-w ‘protests’ (aka riots in some cases) in Soton & NI, then in Dover, Portsmouth & Gosport, I believe. I’d really like the Govt to do something before someone ends up badly hurt/killed. To my mind, these black clad people are amongst us to create fear & in some cases violence, and thus could be deemed ‘terrorists’.

Is it really too much to hope they might act to stop them?

I have delighted in the fact that the black balaclava-clad eejits are currently known on social media as 'nonce-bonnets'.

Also, those Restore douche-canoes would have a nasty shock if they did an actual test to determine their 'purity of blood'. Apart from the fact that there is no such thing, they would ALL find that their genetic material comes from all over the place.

I just love the way Tommo built in his defence by making sure he was heard shouting his order to get off the boat to a Frenchman, in English…

Spot on as always Bear.
