This is so important . Keep those receipts coming . They deflect , never take ownership and just bank on people forgetting , short term memory loss or will find someone else to blame .

The truth is it was them all along .

Three of the four commentators you refer to would make my personal 'Four Horsemen of Crap UK politicians' list: Johnson, Farage and Rees-Mogg. Liz Truss would be the other.

This love affair with the Tangerine Tyrant has become a cult. From the boot-licking Farage, to the scores of ICE agents with itchy trigger fingers, to the aggressive posturing toward allies and flagrant abuse of international law, we're watching the rise of the Nazis all over again, and now I understand how it was able to happen last time. People sleep-walked into disaster then, and we're doing it again now.

And we haven’t even factored in Farage’s endorsement and admiration of Putin. A view also shared by Trump with his simplistic outlook on life - never mind his many appalling personality traits that lead him now to this lawless bombastic railroading of the world order

Dear Bear, in my experience these type of people don’t reflect, no hand wringing, remorse or contrition because they don’t care.

Also no concept of actions leading to consequences, either.

It’s time our representatives woke up to malign influencers. Many of them sat there this morning in Westminster listening to Mike Johnson, US Speaker of the House of Representatives, give a diatribe of our joint history and made my blood boil. There’s no respect or morals and yet, they applauded him. Give me strength!

I'm not overly blessed with brain but thankfully I've always detested and distrusted bozo, fagash and Rees bog. All they ever come out with is verbal diarrhoea. I've always thought the lies of politicians should be challenged in parliament, they lie with impunity and it shouldn't be allowed nor tolerated.

Another great piece Bear.

There was one bloke who managed to change his mind in 34 days, from “historic, stable, welcome” to “GREAT STUPIDITY”, like accountability is a subscription you can cancel when it stops flattering you.

Tim Stanley. Same byline. Same paper. Thirty-four days. Two incompatible Americas, both delivered with the confident calm of a man writing as if the previous month never happened.

Thank you for a perfectly reasoned and relevant analysis of the "silent wannabe Trump patriots".

Their silence is predicated on the hope that they will be the beneficiaries of Trump's unchecked madness! Oh, and the other reason, this despicable quartet, simply don't care for anyone but themselves.

Well said as aways Bear. It is infuriating that these people are not held to account. Like their hero Trump they are only concerned with their own bank accounts. Traitors is the word for them.

Of course they refused to apologize. Those people were and mostly still are are traitors, trying to turn the UK into Oceania's Airstrip One. Traitors pretend to be deeply patriotic. You know them by their fruits. Traditionally, Englishmen knew how to deal with them.

How many are in Davos, cozying up to the money?

Don’t worry… Farage is going to have a “word” with his mate at Davos.

They remain silent because they cannot defend a man who writes a letter to the Prime minister of Sweden stating -

" I am going to take Greenland from Denmark because you did not give me the Nobel peace prize. "

That was this weekend. This morning I heard him talking to the press, probably yesterday, saying that he did not care about it. He cannot deny the first statement because it was an official Whitehouse letter. The second, his defenders, will say is `fake news` or that it was taken out of context.

I wish we could ignore him but he is the President of the United States.

It was to the Prime Minister of Norway. Peace price is Norwegian perk, others are Swedish.
