The story of Farage's revolting inclinations as a schoolboy has been around (thanks to Led By Donkeys) for quite some time. Odd that it's coming into focus now when apparently the govt have somewhat belatedly decided to go on the attack against Reform.
But yes, you're right. There is plenty of evidence to show that Frogface is every bit as much of a racist now as he was then so the focus on what that monumental prick was like as a child is of questionable relevance.
Whatever nail comes under your hammer, Bear, you have an unerring accuracy at hitting it. Your analysis of Reform and racism is so true and written with such clarity that I am reluctant to pick nits. (I think racism arises from an evolutionary 'flaw', which is why it is so hard to eradicate, and this is in brackets because I think you know that anyway.) But it's the language that provides the cherry on the cake: "rogue councillors with social media addictions and no internal filters" or my favourite "cross the line from dog-whistle to fog-horn". Once again you have made my day.
The question I keep asking myself is what happened to basic human decency. The media fuelled by reform, Yacky Lemon and their ilk spread fear, division and hatred of anyone who's remotely different from what they consider normal. The broadcast media is no better. Bias toward reform is constantly denied and we have a 'president' who wants to end the bbc. Labour keep spouting racist dog whistles and as for the tories and Badenoch, words fail me. I know there are decent people out there. But its time to stop watching the news and shaking your heads. It's time to stand up for minorities. It's time to stand up for asylum seekers. Above all its time to start giving a shit and send the far right packing, and that includes reform.

Too right.

An excellent read, Bear. Very quotable!
Exactly. There's a resistance or inability to think it systemic terms.
