Eloquently put Bear, personally I’m surprised he hasn’t used the “getting rid of migrants” argument to free up the existing housing stock, in order to save building more homes! He really is an extremely odious turd amongst the slurry pit of British politicians.
Love your turn of phrase. One of the best descriptions of him and his false advocacy that I have read. Reality is a bitch - with apologies to my dog, of course.
The best description of populism I have seen yet. And humorous to boot. The only worrying bit: why do so many voters keep falling for their delusional ramblings?
Nigel Mirage strikes again, the man so hollow he’s started nicking slogans off Nick Clegg 2011 ‘alarm-clock Britain’ he says, like he’s just discovered mornings. If you need an alarm clock, Nigel, try tuning it to whatever’s happening with your best mate across the pond, Trump’s turning democracy into a late-night fascist infomercial. Same vibes, different flag.
It will be interesting to see if Farage sticks with this plan. To me, it appears to align Reform much more with the Tory party. I guess the two parties could merge, in which case this would be a major threat to Labour. But if they remain as separate parties then this could split the vote on the right, and possibly let Labour through the middle.
"Seeing as how the current wave of “borrow money to buy bitcoin” companies are the scammiest and most obviously maleficent corner of the extremely scammy and maleficent cryptoverse it’s pretty safe to say that Citrone is either a moron who has drunk deeply of the Krypto Kool-Aid or a highly intelligent psychopath with advanced grifting skills. Either way the important thing to note here is that any bailout of Argentina is a more or less direct bailout of Rob Citrone. This in turn could serve as an indirect bailout of OpenAI, because getting a bailout from American taxpayers would free up more of Citrone’s capital to buy more WorldCoin tokens which could put more money in Sam Altman’s pocket."
Also, it looks like the bailout got doubled to $40 billion:
"With Argentina staring down another full-blown financial crisis, President Donald Trump swooped in with $40 billion in U.S. assistance, helping flamboyant libertarian President Javier Milei’s party win midterm elections and continue his DOGE-style agenda of radical spending cuts to the Argentine government. It’s a short-term win for Trump, who previously threatened to pull the plug on the entire bailout if Milei lost. Trump was quick to claim credit for his ally’s unexpectedly strong showing a day later."
I have just listened to a young man on LBC ( they said he was an influencer/advisor to Reform ) defending them saying £10 an hour was too much for other young people to be paid. He sounded like the kind of person who would not bother getting out of bed for that.
Love, love, love this. I chucked and roared laughing all the way through reading this article. It should be mandatory to have this article on the news.... EVERY DAY !!! 😂🤣😂😅
Mr Brexit is very good at making an “arse” of himself, isn’t he?
Merely an 'odious' chancer, never been anything else. Well written critique, thank you Bear.

Well said, Bear. I'm now looking forward to his resignation speech 🤞
Good (he lost)
The real bailout may not be of Argentina at all:

Farage is wilfully ignorant.

A supremely brilliant dismembering of all that is Farage...

Couple of things. First Farage is a Nationalist. Second the Reform party has policies to nationalise utilities etc.
The latter are Socialist policies.
That makes him a National Socialist.
So a Nazi.
All hail the Führer.

Guilty feelings, maybe?
