I'm wondering if Nige is hiding in a dark room in one of his properties, having a nervous breakdown because, at last, he's being scrutinised. I do hope so. As for the misogynistic, vile piece of work representing reform in Makerfield, he's no man, a man doesn't come out with the vulgar remarks, anyone worthy of the label man, has grown out of the silly stage. Glad to hear you're well and hope whatever the glitches are, they work out soon and well. Take care dear Bear.

I recognise those men, I’ve spent most of my life surrounded by them or trying to get away from them. Pleased nothing worrying though Bear 🐻

"the sort of man who mistakes being offensive for being brave and mistakes being controversial for being interesting."

Why aren't people demanding that Nigel Farage be investigated for being mentioned many times in the Epstein Files?

One can only hope that this will be the end, or at least the beginning of the end for ReformLtd. A political “party” bought and paid for by precisely those people who should never be allowed anywhere near authority. One only has to look to America, that once great friend and ally, now in the grip of precisely the chaos that Farage and his cohort would bring to this country all headed by an 80 year-old orange geriatric with bowel and dementia problems. They don’t even bother to hide the blatant racism, misogyny, homophobia and every other reprehensible attitude they can promulgate anymore and their fans lap it up… until they won’t anymore and I believe that day is coming.

Dear Bear, good morning. The truth becomes a memory. The lies can’t be recalled so easily and Farage lies, the story changes. Best wishes.

Many years ago as an apprentice plumber, I wobbled to the Right so much that I went out with the local Conservative MPs daughter. Thankfully I came to my senses within a matter of weeks, left home and went to seek my fame and fortune in Londons retail menswear emporiums, which leads me to pull you up Dear Bear, on your phrase suggesting that Farridge is well dressed! I have to admit to having sold Barbours at one stage, and even worn the occasional tweed jacket and moleskin trousers - it’s a “look” I’ll admit, but I wouldn’t consider it well dressed, and must admit my surprise in not seeing him in tracky bottoms and a pair of Adidas Sambas like so many of his admiring fan boys. I’m glad to hear your gyroscopes have kicked in and your wobble is stabilised. Keep up the good work!

Very well observed Bear. The Reform shtick of “plain people speaking plainly” is backfiring with almost boring regularity.

But have journos questioned other Reform MPs in whether they knew of the £5m or had discussed the “security threat” to party, as a prospective Cabinet collective?

I’m quite happy not seeing his ugly, leering face everywhere. I’m still angry that he invaded my home with anonymous envelopes containing Reform letters about how they will change my life if I vote for them. I didn’t but they managed to win in my ward. The man is a coward.

Scrutinise him as much as humanly possible but can interviews be done with a bag over his head please?

My sentiments exactly. We now have a minority Ref County Council shored up by Gt Yarmouth First councillors. Always been a Tory stronghold & I would rather have them than this shower of inexperienced numpties. My hope is Farage & Lowe will fall out again soon & so too the councillors.

Perhaps they will all self-immolate the rate at which they are falling out with each other.

Re Kenyon, I'm actually just as upset by the right-wing press (The Times + many others) re-defining Kenyon's vile manospheric rantings on social media as the candidate 'simply proving himself to be just the kind of normal, ordinary bloke that politics needs'. Clearly supporting Reform scores way higher for these people than supporting basic human, inc women's rights. Lordy ...

Oh Bear, I really just wish Reform would disappear. Perhaps they could get on Bezos's next rocket! Hoping your family wobble stabilises. Sending hugs x

I realised that it is the very outrage that they generate with their views that they want because that is where the appeal lies. The Carol Vorderman incident was a perfect example. Something outrageous is dug up, reform back him and are mealy mouthed about it and their supporters are fist pumping the air, because it proves what they believe about everyone being woke etc. appealing on this emotional level is gold when it saves on scrutiny. Question is how outrage over 5 million going to be framed as being too woke?

What a good article Bear. Your ursine senses are pinging loudly and as usual they serve you well. I cannot add to this except to say that from his earliest days as a metal trader in the City, Farage described himself as a wrecker, not a builder. What's more he did so with smug pride like a definitively rebellious teen who's against everything but isn't sure why.

Typical reform, look at another party, greens and try to copy them, a "plumber" 6 months old company, farage goes quiet and even mo the man of the people, Zia, is fairy quiet for a bit, it's funny how he wasn't pushed to stand , they know that are on the way down and out now, people have seen through

Oh don't be cruel to Nige, he's suffering from very hurt feelings of rejection because, apparently, the BBC hates him, evidenced by its failure to invite him to opine on Desert Island Discs, please Google for further info. He's devastated. As someone who can no longer watch political programmes put out by BBC, mainly due to the fact that Farage appears to have a permanent soapbox on most of them, I think this is just another distraction. Isn't that right, Nige? I'm guessing one of your favourites, ABBA, Money, money, money.
